This is an overview video and my first impressions on the Røde Video Mic Me-L microphone for Apple devices. This microphone is perfect for the iPhone and will improve your audio. If you're into vlogging with your iPhone, then I recommend you take a look at this mic.

This mic is almost identical to the Røde VideoMic Me, except this mic has the lightning connector instead of the 3.5mm jack. On the back of the microphone is a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is a nice feature to have and one that allows you to monitor your audio. The build quality is exceptional, the microphone is made out of aluminum and it also includes a rubber mount which secures the microphone to your device nicely.

A view things I'd like to point out. After using the mic for a few days, I have noticed that the mic picks up your voice really good if you hold your phone out at arms length. In the video below it does a good job, but could use some gain. In the shots where I had the mic sitting on a table at about 3 feet away the audio sounds a bit low. Overall, I am pleased with this microphone.  It does a great job blocking out background or atmospheric noise and will improve you iphone or iPad audio significantly.  Check out my video review down below.
